Demoty is developed by OThmane Mdidet. The iPhone app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Demoty for Mac, downloaded from othmne.cc/demoty, is licensed to you on the terms on this page. This page explains how Demoty’s features and purchases work; it does not replace that license or any mandatory consumer rights.

Recording and your content

Record and use only content you are entitled to capture. You are responsible for obtaining any required permission before recording, sharing, or publishing other people’s content or personal information. Some apps protect their content and may show a black screen in recordings. Demoty does not bypass those protections.

Free and Pro features

The free version includes screen recording, the iPhone 17 frame, bundled backgrounds, editing tools, and exports up to 10 seconds. Demoty Pro unlocks additional iPhone frames, your own photo backgrounds, and exports of any length supported by your device.

Subscriptions and lifetime purchase

Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, a three-month subscription, or a one-time lifetime unlock. The purchase screen shows the current price, currency, and billing period for your storefront before you confirm. A lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase, not an auto-renewing subscription.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase and for renewals according to the purchase terms shown by Apple. Manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting Demoty does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, subject to Apple’s policies and your statutory rights.

Demoty for Mac and license keys

Demoty for Mac records an iPhone connected to your Mac with a cable and offers the same free features. Demoty Pro on the Mac is a monthly subscription that comes with a license key. It is sold by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record: Polar takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and sends your receipt. The price is shown at checkout before you confirm.

The subscription renews every month until you cancel it in Polar’s customer portal, linked from your receipt and from Demoty’s Settings. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. When the subscription ends, the license key stops working and Pro turns off: Demoty checks the key with Polar regularly, and keeps Pro on for at most 2 days without an internet connection. A key works on up to 3 Macs at a time; you can free a Mac in the customer portal or in Demoty. Do not share or resell keys. Refund requests are handled by Polar under its policies, without affecting your statutory rights.

Use Restore Purchases in Demoty with the Apple Account used for purchase. For assistance, email contact@demoty.app.

Availability and privacy

Recording and export capabilities depend on your device, iOS version, storage, and source content. Keep a separate copy of important recordings. See the Privacy Policy for information about local storage and optional iCloud sync.
