Need help with Demoty? Email contact@demoty.app. Include your Mac model and macOS version (or iPhone model and iOS version), and a short description of the issue. Please do not include private recordings or passwords.

Install and update on Mac

Download Demoty.dmg from the Demoty page, open it, and drag Demoty to Applications before launching it. For future updates, click Update Demoty inside the app, wait for download and verification, then click Reopen Demoty. Your recordings, edits and license are kept. If a download fails, check your connection and available storage, then try again. A first installation from an older release without the updater must be updated manually once using the latest DMG.

Record your screen

Open Demoty and tap Record Screen. Select Demoty in the system broadcast picker and start the broadcast. Open the app you want to record, then stop the broadcast using the iOS recording indicator or Demoty’s Stop control. Your recording appears in Demoty.

Import, edit, and export

Use Import Video to choose an existing recording. Open a project, tap Edit, and choose an iPhone, background, layout, or zoom. Export in 1080p or 4K at 30 or 60 fps, then save to Photos. The free plan exports the first 10 seconds; Pro supports longer exports.

Restore Pro

Open Demoty Settings and choose Restore Purchases using the Apple Account used to buy Pro. Manage subscriptions through iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

iCloud sync

Sign in to iCloud on your iPhone and enable iCloud Sync in Demoty Settings. Sync requires available iCloud storage and a network connection. You can keep recordings on your device by turning this setting off.

A recording looks black

Some apps protect video or other content from screen recording. Demoty cannot override that protection. Try recording another app to check that recording works.
